It was Joyce’s wish to be cremated and have No Services. Interment of Cremated remains will be in Prairie Cemetery.

Joyce (Lewis) Phillips, 80, of Oblong, IL formerly of Robinson, IL passed away on Friday September 13, 2019 at Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong, IL.
She was born in Hindley, England on October 18, 1938 to James and Eliza (Orrell) Lewis.
Joyce worked for the State of Illinois for 40 years in the Illinois Division of Children and Family Services and Family First. She had also worked at a filling station in Florida and at SWAN in Olney, IL. She received her United States Citizenship in 1972. She had lived in Lake City and Gainesville Florida from 2000-2011 moving to Robinson in 2011. In high school she was the captain of the swim team and Tennis Team. She enjoyed knitting and sewing.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Kenneth “Kenny” and Shelli Phillips, Olney, IL; three grandsons Kevin and Shelli Liddle, Robinson, IL, Jimmy and Emmie Liddle, Oblong, IL and Jason and Sabrina Liddle, Oblong, IL; 17 Great-grandchildren and one Great-great- granddaughter. She is also survived by two sisters Joan and Kenneth Evans, Lancashire, England and Jennifer Lewis, Lancashire, England; and two nieces Michelle and Beverly Evans, Lancashire, England.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter Susan Liddle; two brothers James and John Samuel Lewis and one brother-in-law.
